The reformer benefits include overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. These things, in turn, lead to daily life improvements like better posture, graceful, efficient movement, and for many, relief from pain associated with physical imbalances such as back pain.

The resistance created by the pulley and spring system of the reformer can provide an added challenge to a training program. It also offers a change of pace from MatWork. It incorporates many different exercises, which are kept fluid by the machine and combines functional positions such as sitting, standing and front lying. The exercises require the client to maintain control of the machine, both concentrically and eccentrically building better strength, coordination and mind body connection.

The progressive framework of STOTT Pilates Reformer means that the individual benefits from resistance training in a safe, but achieving way. Much like MatWork programs can be varied and specific to the clients needs and goals. From a rehabilitative nature to a sports performance and injury prevention goal. Reformers can be a useful tool.

Classes are kept small and no more than 4 people per class means that there is a good personal training element.
